Wednesdays I will be offering a writing prompt and my response. Please feel free to share your response as well. This will encourage us to stretch ourselves to write in new ways. Happy ink dance!
Prompt: Imagine your life is now a book. In 100 words, write the blurb for it. (It’s what people will read on the back cover.)*
It ends where it began, in her dreams. Rebecca had always longed for the ordinary; to have a family with a mother and father and kids and dogs and a house. She grew up with pieces of those things, but pieces felt sharp.
Then things changed.
Actually she changed.
She discovered she was loved. Not the kind of love you find from any person, but the love you find from the one who created love. And when she found that love, everything changed.
The hard things didn’t go away, but the sharp edges did. Because real love softens even the most jagged pieces to make them into something beautiful.
